When the Italian architect Giotto (1267-1337) was being auditioned by the Pope for an appointment, he was asked to demonstrate his "skills" as a designer. On a piece of paper, Giotto drew a perfect circle. He was immediately hired.
In 1986, in an office in Southern California, a then unknown MC Hammer stood before a panel of Hollywood record execs. When asked to demonstrate his "skills" as an entertainer, Hammer placed one foot before him and, as a heavy silence fell upon the assembly, entered into a circular motion so perfect, so clean, those who witnessed it were said to have noted several strange phenomena and bizarre behavior having occurred...
Women fainted, children screamed.
An autistic girl in an adjacent office began shaking uncontrollably; car alarms sounded; somewhere in tranny space, Elton John's grundle quietly made peace with a much-abused jock strap after twenty years of civil unrest.
When Hammer had completed his turn, one executive quickly wrote on a scrap of paper the date and time...
It was approximately one minute earlier.
Hammer had momentarily reversed the spin of the earth and turned back time.
He was hired on the spot. The rest is history.
