Whitaker and Zellwegger News

Production will launch next month in Kansas and New Orleans on indie drama My Own Love Song, written and to be directed by Olivier Dahan (Môme, La (2007)) starring Forest Whitaker and Renee Zellweger.

The story fllows a wheelchair-bound former singer and her friend on a roadtrip to Memphis; tragic heros both, who know the hard road and how to "take" it.

I'm sure Zellwegger does, anyway.

Producer is Alain Goldman, who also produced Môme, La.

Zellweger's wrapped work on Western drama Appaloosa and comedies Chilled in Miami and My One and Only. Whitaker will next be seen in Winged Creatures.

Sounds like she's trying to get a shitload of films in the can before audiences realize she's turning into Paul Simon's twin brother with "Michael Jackson" disease, while Whitaker continues with his all-important straight-to-video Sundance Channel work.
